Sound Engineer & Av Engineer & Light Technician

Oversee daily operations of two recording studios and two music rooms. Ensure optimal acoustic quality and functionality in all sound spaces.

Organize and maintain a professional and efficient setup to support teaching and practice sessions. Sound Engineering for Classes, Performances & School Events

Serve as the primary sound technician for class performances, rehearsals, and music events.

Set up, test, and operate sound equipment such as microphones, amplifiers, mixers, and speakers. Balance and optimize audio levels during live events to ensure high-quality sound.

Troubleshoot real-time audio issues during performances to minimize disruptions. Equipment Maintenance

Regularly inspect and maintain sound equipment, including microphones, speakers, amplifiers, and cables.

Perform minor repairs and organize routine maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate inventory records and equipment repair logs.

Vendor & Repair Coordination

Liaise with vendors and service providers for specialized repairs or equipment upgrades. Manage warranties and service agreements to ensure cost-effective and timely maintenance. Logistics Support

Assist with setup and transfer of sound equipment and instruments for on-site and off-site events. Ensure safe handling, packing, and transportation of equipment during logistics operations.

Collaboration & Training Collaborate with music teachers and students to support audio needs for educational and creative projects.

Provide training and guidance on recording and live sound equipment usage.

Stay updated on emerging audio technologies and best practices to enhance school offerings. Required

Proven experience as a sound engineer in a professional or educational environment.

Hands-on expertise with sound recording equipment and software (e.g., Pro Tools, Logic Pro, or similar). Proficiency in live sound engineering including setup, mixing, and troubleshooting.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Preferred

Technical certification in sound engineering, audio production, or a related field. Experience working in an educational institution or music environment.

Working Hours

Full-time with flexibility for evening or weekend events as required.

For Av Engg

·        Responsible for Installation, Operation and Maintenance of AV components such as Video Conferencing Components, Video Recorders, Projectors, Lighting and Sound controllers and equipment, Displays like Interactive/LED/ LCD TV’s and Projector Screens.

·        Knowledge of Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures that comprise AVMI’s Integrated Management System.

·        Maintain, gather and update statistics and records on VC and AV supports and report on a weekly and monthly basis.

·        Coordinate with the organizer for AV requirements and Manage AV for the events organized in DAIS/NMAJS.

·        Maintain AMC Services of individual AV hardware as well as software.

·        Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous status information.

·        Encourage users to provide feedbacks - Learn new technologies and evolve as the team matures

·        Pass on any feedback or suggestions by customers to the appropriate internal team
