Job Description
- Procurement & Negotiation: Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for the best prices, quality, and payment terms.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage the purchasing process from purchase order creation to final delivery, ensuring materials meet quality standards and project schedules.
- Budgeting & Cost Control: Develop cost estimates, configure budgets, and manage bid variances to maximize profitability.
- Vendor Management: Source new suppliers, evaluate existing vendor performance, and foster long-term partnerships.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of, invoices, contracts, and insurance, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Coordination: Collaborate with project managers, site staff, and the accounts department to align purchasing with operational needs.
- Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in procurement or purchasing, specifically within the construction or engineering industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction materials, building codes, and industry trends.
- Skills: Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- Technical: Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, ERP systems) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
