Staff Nurse

Job description:

• Education: GNM/ B.Sc. Nursing with two or more years experience in ICU
• Registration with Maharashtra Nursing Council
• Good communication skills and knowledge of computers
• Interest in patient care

ROLES AND RESPONSISBILITIES

• Maintain the prepared standard protocol of asepsis strictly.
• Maintain the hand washing protocol, dress protocol as prescribed.
• Send necessary articles, instruments, linen, gadgets, equipment, etc. for autoclave if needed and keep ready for use.
• Check all electrical points, supply line of O2, Air, in built sockets for proper working condition and communicate with concerned person/ team leader for proper maintenance of unit.
• Carry out the instructions of the In charge / Team Leader – ICU Nursing as allocated by her/him.
• Prepare the drugs, crash trolley, etc. properly and will indent drugs and other supplies if necessary.
• Check monitor, ventilator, all lifesaving gadgets for proper working condition.
• Be vigilant to protect the patient from injury or accident by following all safety guidelines.
• She/he will keep herself/himself up to date with nursing knowledge by taking part in in-service education programme.
• Actively take part in all NABH and quality improvement activities.
• Follow infection control guidelines at all time while working in ICU.
