Job Title: Design Executive - Exhibition

Department: Creative/Design

Location: Hiranandani, Powai

Reports To: Senior Designer/Creative Director

Job Summary:

The Design Executive - Exhibition is responsible for designing immersive and engaging exhibition spaces that captivate audiences and meet client expectations. This role requires creativity, technical skills, and the ability to work on multiple projects while meeting deadlines. The Design Executive will collaborate closely with clients, project managers, and production teams to translate concepts into visually striking and functional exhibition designs.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Concept Development:

• Develop innovative and original exhibition concepts that align with the client’s brand and objectives.
• Create storyboards, mood boards, and conceptual sketches to convey design ideas to clients and team members.
• Conduct research on trends, materials, and competitor exhibitions to ensure designs remain current and impactful.

1. Design Execution:

• Use design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite, to produce detailed layouts, 3D renderings, and technical drawings.
• Design exhibition elements including booth structures, display units, lighting plans, and signage to optimize visitor engagement and traffic flow.
• Produce mock-ups and prototypes as needed to illustrate design concepts and refine details before final production.

1. Client Interaction and Presentations:

• Engage with clients to understand their vision, brand, and exhibition goals, providing expert guidance on design options.
• Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, effectively communicating design concepts and justifying design choices.
• Modify and refine designs based on client feedback, ensuring all elements meet brand guidelines and objectives.

1. Project Coordination:

• Collaborate with project managers and vendors to ensure design specifications are feasible, cost-effective, and align with budget constraints.
• Prepare and maintain project documentation, including design briefs, timelines, and material specifications.
• Attend site visits to oversee installation, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the final setup reflects the original design intent.

1. Quality Assurance:

• Perform quality checks throughout the design and production phases to ensure all elements meet high standards and the client’s vision.
• Ensure design components adhere to safety regulations and are built to last throughout the exhibition’s duration.
• Conduct post-event evaluations to assess the effectiveness of designs and gather insights for future projects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Exhibition Design, Graphic Design, Interior Design, Event Design, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in exhibition or event design, with a strong portfolio showcasing relevant projects.
• Proficiency in design software such as Autodesk 3Ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), AutoCAD, SketchUp, or 3D rendering software.
• Knowledge of spatial design, materials, and lighting, with a focus on optimizing the user experience in exhibition spaces.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate design concepts to clients and internal teams.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
• Detail-oriented, creative, and committed to delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
