Job Description
- 1. Direct Tax (Income Tax)Assist in preparation and filing of:
- Income Tax Returns (ITR) for company and related entities
- Advance tax calculations and payments
- TDS returns (24Q, 26Q, 27Q, 27EQ)
- Ensure timely deposit of TDS and generation of Form 16 / 16A
- Reconcile TDS with Form 26Q / 26AS / AIS
- Assist in handling Income Tax notices and assessments
- Maintain documentation for assessments and appeals
- 2. Indirect Tax (GST)Prepare and file:
- GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation
- Annual return (GSTR-9 / 9C, if applicable)
- Reconcile sales, purchase, and ITC data with books
- Track GST payments, challans, and credits
- Assist in responding to GST notices and departmental queries
- Coordinate with consultants for complex GST matters
- 3. Compliance & DocumentationMaintain statutory registers and tax working files
- Track due dates and ensure zero penalties or late fees
- Support internal and statutory audits
- Assist in implementation of tax process improvements
- 4. Coordination & ReportingCoordinate with:
- External CA / tax consultants
- Internal accounts and operations teams
- Prepare MIS reports related to tax compliance
- Flag tax risks, mismatches, or non-compliances proactively
