Job Description

Telesales Executive drives revenue by contacting prospective and existing customers via telephone to sell products or services, generate leads, and book appointments. They are responsible for meeting daily/monthly targets, delivering persuasive pitches, updating CRM records, and handling customer objections. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Outbound/Inbound Calling: Making high-volume calls to new leads (cold calling) and following up on existing leads.
  • Sales & Closing: Pitching products/services, negotiating deals, and closing sales over the phone.
  • Lead Generation: Identifying, qualifying, and nurturing prospective customers to fix appointments for field sales teams.
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Maintaining accurate records of customer details, interactions, and purchases in company databases.
  • Target Achievement: Hitting or exceeding daily, weekly, or monthly sales quotas and KPIs (e.g., call volume, conversion rates).
  • Product Knowledge: Understanding the company's offerings deeply to explain benefits, features, and pricing clearly. 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Communication: Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Persuasion & Negotiation: Strong ability to convince prospects and handle objections confidently.
  • Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and work under pressure in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and CRM software.
  • Experience: Previous experience in telesales, telemarketing, or customer service is often preferred. 

Common Working Conditions

  • Environment: Typically office-based or remote, work from home facility available.
  • Hours: Generally, standard business hours (e.g., 9-5, Mon-Fri)
  • Compensation: Often includes a base salary plus commission based on performance.
