Job Title: Restaurant Steward

Department: Operations

Job Summary:The Restaurant Steward is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, and overall upkeep of the restaurant’s kitchen and service areas. The role ensures smooth operations by supporting kitchen and service teams with cleaning, dishwashing, and maintaining sanitation standards as per company and food safety guidelines.

• Key Responsibilities:
• 1. Cleaning & HygieneWash and sanitize dishes, glassware, cutlery, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Ensure proper cleaning of kitchen floors, walls, storage areas, and service stations.
• Dispose of waste as per hygiene and segregation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of wash areas at all times.

• 2. Operational SupportAssist kitchen and service staff during peak hours.
• Ensure adequate availability of clean crockery and cutlery for smooth service.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and inform the supervisor of shortages.

• 3. Food Safety & ComplianceFollow hygiene and sanitation standards as per company policies.
• Adhere to FSSAI and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain personal hygiene and grooming standards.

• 4. Equipment HandlingOperate dishwashing machines and cleaning equipment properly.
• Report any equipment malfunction to the supervisor immediately.

• Qualifications & Experience:Minimum education: 10th Pass (preferred)
• Prior experience in hotel/restaurant stewarding (preferred but not mandatory)
