Job Description

Responsibilities:·       Supervision: Oversee the stewarding team, including dishwashers and cleaning staff, ensuring they follow proper procedures and maintain a high level of cleanliness.

·       Equipment Maintenance: Supervise the cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition. Report any malfunction or damage for prompt resolution.

·       Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, ensuring an adequate stock is maintained. Place orders for supplies as needed, taking budgetary constraints into consideration.

·       Waste Management: Implement effective waste disposal procedures and recycling initiatives. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and company policies.

·       Banquet Support: Coordinate with banquet staff to ensure timely setup and breakdown of event spaces, maintaining cleanliness and organization during and after events.

·       Hygiene Standards: Enforce strict hygiene and sanitation standards in all areas, including kitchens, dining rooms, and restrooms. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any cleanliness issues.

·       Training and Development: Train new stewards on proper cleaning procedures, equipment usage, and safety protocols. Provide ongoing training to ensure the team is well-equipped to maintain cleanliness standards.

·       Customer Management: Oversee the customer management aspect, ensuring guests are welcomed warmly and their needs are addressed promptly. Collaborate with service staff to enhance the overall guest experience.

·       Order Management: Work closely with kitchen staff and service teams to manage dishware and equipment flow between the kitchen and dining areas, ensuring efficient order management during peak hours and events.

·       Shift Coordination: Coordinate stewarding schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours and events. Assist in managing breaks and shift rotations for the stewarding team.
