Accountant

Job Title: Junior Accountant (Accounts Payable & Receivable)Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant with 1 year of hands-on experience in both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR). The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting the finance team in maintaining smooth accounting operations.

• Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable (AP):Process vendor invoices and ensure timely and accurate payments
• Verify and reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and payment records
• Maintain vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
• Prepare payment runs (cheques, bank transfers, etc.)
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures
• Accounts Receivable (AR):Generate and issue customer invoices
• Track incoming payments and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing issues
• Maintain accurate records of all receivable transactions
• Assist in credit control and aging analysis
• General Accounting:Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
• Support audits by providing required documentation
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Assist in preparing financial reports and statements
• Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1 year of experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
• Good knowledge of MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities
