Role Overview
An Amazon Account Manager is responsible for managing relationships with sellers, vendors, or advertising clients on the Amazon platform. The role focuses on business growth, account performance, sales strategy, and operational excellence.
Account Managers act as strategic advisors to partners, helping them optimize listings, improve sales performance, and leverage Amazon tools and programs.
Key Responsibilities
1. Account Management
Manage a portfolio of seller or vendor accounts on Amazon.
Build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Serve as the primary contact for account-related issues.
2. Business Growth & Strategy
Develop strategies to increase revenue, profitability, and brand visibility.
Analyze business metrics and identify growth opportunities.
Support sellers/vendors in scaling their businesses on Amazon.
3. Performance Monitoring
Track KPIs such as:
Sales revenue
Conversion rate
Traffic
Buy Box percentage
Inventory health
Identify underperforming areas and recommend improvements.
4. Data Analysis
Use analytics tools and dashboards to evaluate performance.
Generate reports and insights for internal teams and clients.
Use data to guide decision-making.
5. Operational Support
Assist with:
Listing optimization
Pricing strategies
Promotions and deals
Inventory management
Resolve operational issues impacting account performance.
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with internal teams such as:
Marketing
Supply chain
Advertising
Category management
Operations
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or related field
2–5 years experience in:
Account management
E-commerce
Sales or consulting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Advanced Excel / data analysis skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in e-commerce or marketplace platforms
Knowledge of Amazon Seller Central / Vendor Central
Experience managing multiple client accounts
SQL or advanced analytics experience (sometimes preferred)
