Business Development Manager (BDM) / Event Manager / Corporate Trainer is responsible for driving business growth and forming relationships:
- Research and identify opportunities: Research new markets, customers, trends, and partnerships.
- Generate leads: Generate leads and cold call prospective customers.
- Build relationships: Build relationships with customers, clients, partners, sponsors, and donors.
- Set goals: Set goals and develop plans for business and revenue growth.
- Develop strategies: Develop strategies to meet goals, including sales and marketing strategies.
- Prepare financial projections: Prepare financial projections and sales targets.
- Attend events: Attend conferences and industry events.
- Train staff: Train business development staff and sales colleagues.
- Prepare presentations: Prepare sales presentations and participate in sales meetings.
- Produce reports: Produce reports for management.
- Develop contracts: Develop and negotiate contracts.
- Compare sales numbers: Compare current sales numbers to desired quotas.
- Delegate tasks: Delegate sales and marketing tasks among team members.
- Meet with management: Meet with upper management to discuss progress.
