Business Development Manager (BDM) / Event Manager / Corporate Trainer is responsible for driving business growth and forming relationships: 

  • Research and identify opportunities: Research new markets, customers, trends, and partnerships. 
  • Generate leads: Generate leads and cold call prospective customers. 
  • Build relationships: Build relationships with customers, clients, partners, sponsors, and donors. 
  • Set goals: Set goals and develop plans for business and revenue growth. 
  • Develop strategies: Develop strategies to meet goals, including sales and marketing strategies. 
  • Prepare financial projections: Prepare financial projections and sales targets. 
  • Attend events: Attend conferences and industry events. 
  • Train staff: Train business development staff and sales colleagues. 
  • Prepare presentations: Prepare sales presentations and participate in sales meetings. 
  • Produce reports: Produce reports for management. 
  • Develop contracts: Develop and negotiate contracts. 
  • Compare sales numbers: Compare current sales numbers to desired quotas. 
  • Delegate tasks: Delegate sales and marketing tasks among team members. 
  • Meet with management: Meet with upper management to discuss progress.
