1. Handling Customer Enquiries

Respond promptly to incoming inquiries (email, phone, WhatsApp, etc.)

Understand customer requirements:

Product specifications (grade, purity, application)

Quantity and delivery timelines

Provide quotations, technical data sheets (TDS), and MSDS

Coordinate with suppliers/vendors for pricing and availability

2. Processing Orders & Requirements

Convert inquiries into confirmed orders

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules

Coordinate internally with:

Procurement team

Logistics & warehouse

Ensure proper documentation (POs, invoices, compliance papers)

3. Customer Relationship Management

Maintain regular follow-ups with existing clients

Resolve complaints or supply issues quickly

Build long-term relationships to ensure repeat business

4. Generating New Leads

Identify target industries:

Pharmaceuticals

Paints & coatings

Food & beverages

Cosmetics

Agrochemicals, etc.

Use lead sources:

LinkedIn, IndiaMART, TradeIndia

Industry exhibitions and trade fairs

Cold calling and email outreach

Maintain a pipeline of prospects and track conversions

5. Market & Product Knowledge

Understand the chemicals you’re trading:

Applications

Competitors

Pricing trends

Track market demand and competitor activity
