Sales Manager – Job DescriptionPosition Overview

The Sales Manager is responsible for leading and developing the sales team, driving revenue growth, building strong customer relationships, and executing strategies that expand the company’s market presence. This role combines leadership, strategic planning, performance management, and hands-on sales expertise.

  • Key Responsibilities1. Sales Strategy & PlanningDevelop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer behavior to identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and performance reports for management.
  • 2. Team Leadership & ManagementRecruit, train, and mentor sales representatives.
  • Set clear performance goals and monitor progress.
  • Conduct regular coaching sessions and performance reviews.
  • Foster a positive, high-performance team culture.
  • 3. Customer Relationship ManagementMaintain strong relationships with key clients and partners.
  • Oversee resolution of customer issues to ensure high satisfaction.
  • Negotiate and close major deals.
  • 4. Performance MonitoringTrack sales metrics and KPIs to identify strengths and improvement areas.
  • Implement data-driven improvements to sales processes and techniques.
  • Ensure CRM systems are properly used and data is accurately maintained.
  • 5. Cross-Functional CollaborationWork with marketing to align campaigns with sales goals.
  • Coordinate with product, finance, and operations teams to support customer needs.
  • Provide customer insights that influence product development.
  • Required Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a senior sales role.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
  • Experience with CRM tools and sales analytics.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
