Job Description

We are seeking a high-energy Technical Sales Engineer to drive our B2B and SME market expansion. You will be the bridge between complex renewable energy engineering and strategic business solutions. Your goal is to identify energy needs for small-to-medium enterprises and deliver high-yield Solar PV solutions that offer clear ROI and sustainability benefits.


Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and target SMEs and commercial entities with high energy consumption.
  • Conduct cold outreach, networking, and industry-specific presentations to build a robust B2B pipeline.
  • Analyze client energy bills and load profiles to determine solar feasibility.

2. Technical Solution Design

  • Perform initial site surveys and technical assessments (shading analysis, roof integrity, and electrical infrastructure).
  • Collaborate with the design team to create preliminary solar layouts and system specifications.
  • Translate technical data (yield estimates, degradation rates, and inverter efficiencies) into compelling business cases.

3. Financial Modeling & Proposal Management

  • Develop comprehensive financial proposals including ROI, Payback Period, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) calculations.
  • Advise clients on available government incentives, tax benefits (e.g., accelerated depreciation), and financing options (PPA vs. Capex).

4. Relationship Management

  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signing and project handover.
  • Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders (CEOs, Facility Managers, and Finance Directors).


Technical & Professional Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related technical field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in technical sales, specifically within the Solar PV or Power Electronics industry.
  • Market Knowledge: Proven track record in B2B or SME sales cycles, which often involve multiple stakeholders and longer lead times.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot).
  • Communication: Ability to explain complex electrical concepts to non-technical business owners with wit and clarity.

Core Competencies

  • Deep understanding of modules, inverters, mounting structures, and net-metering policies.
  • Consultative SellingAbility to move beyond "product pushing" to become a trusted energy advisor.
  • NegotiationSkill in handling high-value contract negotiations and closing complex deals.
