Wordpress Developer

We are looking for an experienced Freelance WordPress Performance & UI/UX Developer with strong expertise in WordPress, Elementor Pro, Core Web Vitals optimisation, UI/UX consistency, speed improvement, and website stability.

This is not an SEO or content role. We already have an in-house SEO team.

The selected freelancer will be responsible for improving the technical performance, user experience, responsiveness, and stability of our WordPress websites, with a strong focus on speed optimisation, layout stability, mobile UX, filter/pagination fixes, media optimisation, and ongoing maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Improve Core Web Vitals, including LCP, CLS, and INP
• Fix layout shifts and Elementor-related frontend issues
• Optimise CSS/JS loading and reduce unused assets
• Improve mobile speed and overall site performance
• Configure NitroPack safely without breaking design/layout
• Standardise UI elements such as accordions, buttons, spacing, and sections
• Fix responsiveness issues across desktop, tablet, and mobile
• Resolve plugin and theme conflicts
• Fix sliders, broken layouts, and page-level display issues
• Optimise images, srcset, compression, and WebP/AVIF handling
• Fix search, filter, archive, and pagination issues
• Prevent duplicate results and incorrect paginated behaviour
• Improve form loading and lead capture flow
• Set up staging, backups, and safe update practices
• Optimise WordPress backend/admin performance
• Provide emergency technical support when needed
