The Area Credit Manager will be responsible for overseeing the credit portfolio, managing relationships with key stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with credit policies and regulations. This role plays a vital part in the bank's strategy to expand its market share and maintain a strong credit culture.- Lead and manage the credit team for the CV and CE segments, ensuring efficient operations and timely decision-making.
- Develop and implement credit strategies to enhance the bank's market position and profitability.
- Analyze and assess credit risks, making informed decisions on loan approvals and credit limits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business needs and offering tailored credit solutions.
- Monitor and manage the credit portfolio, ensuring timely collection of payments and minimizing credit losses.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless credit processes and cross-selling opportunities.
- Stay updated on industry trends and market dynamics, identifying potential risks and opportunities for the bank.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with internal credit policies and external regulations, maintaining a high standard of ethical practices.
- Mentor and develop the credit team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in credit management, with a strong background in commercial lending.
- Proven track record of successful credit portfolio management and risk assessment.
- Excellent knowledge of credit policies, regulations, and best practices in the banking industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed credit decisions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong client relationships.
- Proficiency in using credit analysis tools and software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
