Job Description

Assistant Manager - Analytics, Sports

The Analytics department is the backbone of our broadcast narratives. The Assistant Manager will act as the bridge between raw data and on-air execution, assisting the Manager in coordinating with the Product Team and ensuring that the Kadamba team and junior producers have the support needed to handle live feeds accurately.

What will you do?

  • Execution of Analytical Stories: Lead the hands-on production and packaging of analytical stories for matches and surround shows, ensuring every graphic and data point is air-ready.
  • Feed Management: Support the onboarding and guidance of junior producers (including the Kadamba team) to ensure high-quality output on live feeds.
  • Content Preparation: Assist in the preparation of Preview Dockets, Alternate Profiles, and Matchup data, ensuring all assets are organized and accessible to the production gallery.
  • Quality Control: Maintain the "do it perfectly" standard by checking the accuracy of archival overlays and live statistical updates.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work in unison with the editorial and graphics teams to ensure that the analytical "thrust" of a series is executed as planned.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the organization of shared resources (Dropbox/Central Servers) to ensure the team can access critical data during fast-paced "triple header" scenarios.
  • Performance Measures
  • Operational Excellence: Accuracy and speed of delivery during live broadcasts.
  • Team Support: Success in mentoring junior team members on feed management and production workflows.
  • Content Quality: The impact of analytical elements on the overall production value, measured by narrative consistency.
  • Who should apply for this role?

  • Graduate with previous experience in sports production or analytics (6 to 8 years).
  • Proficiency in English and Hindi (spoken and written).
  • Technical Savvy: Strong understanding of live feed structures, studio workflows, and data visualization tools.
  • Detail Oriented: A "perfectionist" mindset when it comes to data and video synchronization.
  • Sports Knowledge: Deep passion and knowledge of cricket (domestic and international) and other major sports.
