Associate Consultant - AAS UK

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Associate Consultant to join the AAS team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong finance/audit background, some consulting experience, and the ability to balance IFRS and Finance tool skills (such as an ERP). This role requires individuals who are ambitious to grow in their careers and contribute to the success of the team.

 

 

Responsibilities:
•    High quality delivery on transformation projects. These projects may have a variety of technology involved in the financial reporting function.
•    Analyse and understand financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss accounts.
•    Research and communicate accounting requirements in an easy to understand manner.
•    Actively participate in business development efforts within the Transformation service offering of the AAS team. 
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with KPMG UK onshore team.
•    Build and maintain strong relationships with client staff on projects.
•    Contribute to practice and risk management, including thought leadership and business development activities.
•    Understand the issues and challenges facing Finance functions and stay updated on trends in Finance.

•    Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting with experience of working in financial reporting teams or Professional qualifications such as Chartered Accountant or international equivalent like ACCA are preferred.
•    Experience of working in Audit in big4 or equivalent firms or experience of working in Financial Reporting teams
•    Strong understanding of financial statements and revenue.
•    Proficiency in Excel and the ability to pick up new tools quickly. Experience in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms will be helpful.
•    Excellent problem solving skills and ability to think of different alternatives in unusual situations.
•    Understanding of IFRS requirements. 
•    Proven ability to build strong client and colleague relationships.
•    Exposure to systems and a willingness to learn new technologies.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
