We are a leading financial services firm seeking an experienced Investment Banking Specialist to join our team in Mumbai. As an AVP, you will play a critical role in driving our market size modeling efforts, supporting clients, and contributing to the growth of our business.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Investment Banking Specialist with a strong background in statistical modeling and data analysis. As an AVP, you will play an important role in developing and maintaining complex statistical models to estimate market size and key performance metrics for Global Markets products. If you have a passion for data-driven insights, excellent communication skills, and an understanding of the Corporate and Investment Banking industry, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain advanced models to estimate market size and key performance metrics for Global Markets products, using techniques such as regression analysis, time series analysis, optimisation and machine learning algorithms.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and correlations, and derive actionable insights to support senior management of key Investment Banks
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations, build relationships, and drive business growth
• Validate and refine models using various statistical techniques and data sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results
• Communicate complex modeling results and insights to senior stakeholders, using clear and concise language

Requirements:

• Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, MBA, or a related field with a strong analytical focus
• Degree in Data Science or related field (e.g., Data Analytics, Quantitative Finance) is highly advantageous
• 6-8 years of experience in statistical modeling, data analysis, or a related field, with a focus on Investment Banking and market size estimation
• Strong expertise in statistical modeling techniques, such as:
  • Regression analysis (linear and non-linear)
  • Time series analysis (ARIMA, ARCH, etc.)
  • Machine learning algorithms
  • Data mining and data wrangling techniques
• Experience with programming languages like Python, and data visualization tools like Power BI.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex ideas to senior stakeholders
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality results, with a strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of the Corporate and Investment Banking industry (IBD, FICC, Equities, Transaction Banking, Securities Services)

• Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
