Job Summary
As a Team Manager within the Securities and Trade Settlement team, you oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. You lead a high-performing team, manage workflow, and act as a subject matter expert in securities, tax, and corporate actions. You drive process optimization, foster collaboration, and represent the team in senior leadership forums.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Securities and Trade Settlement team, setting objectives and driving performance.
  • Oversee all securities and trade settlement operations, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal standards.
  • Develop and implement strategies for process optimization, automation, and risk mitigation.
  • Manage resource planning, recruitment, and team development.
  • Act as the main point of contact for senior management, auditors, and regulatory bodies.
  • Oversee escalations, complex cases, and high-risk client reviews.
  • Monitor and report on key metrics, SLAs, and regulatory changes.

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • 8+  years of relevant work experience, ideally within financial services, banking, or organizations specializing in securities and trade settlement.
  • Strong knowledge of securities and trade settlement processes.
  • Solid understanding of US tax jurisdiction, including 1042/1099 reporting and FATCA/NRA regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial securities, tax, MS Excel, and IA tools like Alteryx, Python, Pro Plus at a skilled level; expert spoken and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities

  • Experience with corporate actions and security transfers.
  • Familiarity with tax and gain/loss reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships across cross-functional and global teams.
  • Proven track record in coaching, training, and supporting team member development.
