Job Summary:


The Counter Sales Executive is responsible for delivering an exceptional in-store customer experience, assisting customers in selecting jewellery products, achieving sales targets, and maintaining showroom standards. The role requires strong product knowledge, customer handling skills, and a passion for luxury retail.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Customer Service
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable jewellery designs
  • Explain product features, pricing, weight, and certification details clearly
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business

Product Handling & Display

  • Maintain cleanliness and visual merchandising standards at the counter
  • Ensure proper handling and safety of high-value jewellery items
  • Assist in stock display, replenishment, and arrangement

Billing & Documentation

  • Coordinate with billing team for accurate invoicing and transactions
  • Verify product details before billing (weight, price, discounts, etc.)
  • Maintain customer records and purchase details
  • Inventory CoordinationSupport inventory checks and stock audits
  • Report discrepancies or damages to the supervisor
  • Ensure proper tagging and documentation of jewellery items

Compliance & Security

  • Follow store SOPs for handling gold/diamond jewellery
  • Adhere to security protocols and loss prevention guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and business data

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Sales orientation and target-driven mindset
  • Basic knowledge of jewellery (gold, diamonds, gemstones)
  • Customer relationship management skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Presentable personality and grooming standards
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

Qualifications & Experience: Minimum: 12th Pass / Graduate preferred

  • 1–10 years of retail sales experience (preferably jewellery or luxury retail)
  • Freshers with good communication skills may be considered
