Data and MIS Executive - Retail Microfinance Strategy

Data & MIS Executive - Retail MFB - Strategy - Mumbai - Lodha (I-Think Techno Campus) - J Grades

Key Responsibilities:

1. MIS & Reporting

• Prepare daily/weekly/monthly dashboards on collection efficiency, PAR, and NPA trends.
• Maintain trackers for agency performance, settlement recoveries, and field campaign results.
• Assist in creating PowerPoint presentations for internal reviews and strategy meetings.

2. Data Analysis & Insights

• Support data segmentation and risk profiling to identify high-risk geographies or borrower categories.
• Collaborate with the analytics team to extract actionable insights from portfolio data.
• Help build and update field heatmaps, early warning indicators, and resolution trends.

3. Campaign & Project Coordination

• Coordinate with zonal teams and collection vendors for campaign tracking and execution.
• Follow up on special projects, pilots, and initiatives rolled out by the strategy team.
• Document learnings, observations, and feedback from campaign performance.

4. Process Improvement

• Identify gaps in data hygiene, process adherence, and reporting mechanisms.
• Propose automation ideas for MIS generation or dashboarding wherever feasible.
• Assist in SOP documentation for field strategy rollouts.

5. Cross-functional Exposure

• Interact with Product, Risk, Legal, and Field Collection teams as required.
• Gain exposure to policy frameworks, compliance standards, and operational challenges in microfinance recovery.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Good knowledge of MS Excel (pivot, lookup, charts) and PowerPoint
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning ability
• Basic understanding of financial services, NBFCs, or microfinance operations (preferred)
• Effective communication and coordination skills
• Proactive, curious, and quick learner with attention to detail

Qualifications:

• MBA/PGDM (Finance / Business Analytics / Operations preferred)
• 0–1 years of experience (freshers welcome)
• Internship or project experience in BFSI, collections, or strategy teams is an added advantage

This role is designed as a grooming pipeline for future roles in strategy, analytics, or portfolio management within collections. Successful candidates may progress into full-time roles in the DSMG Strategy or Analytics teams based on performance.
