Job Purpose: Incharge Electrical is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of electrical construction work in accordance with project-specific cost and schedule requirements. This role requires proficiency in the installation, maintenance, and management of electrical systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and specifications.
Incharge Electrical Design
Document and Specification Review:
Review project documents, including tender specifications, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), material submittals, and shop drawings.
Ensure compliance with the project’s requirements by cross-referencing electrical plans and specifications with tender documents.
Technical Leadership:
Provide technical guidance to designers, supervisors, inspectors, and contractors regarding the installation and maintenance of electrical systems.
Supervise and coordinate the work of subordinate staff, while collaborating with architects and engineers for optimal project integration.
Lead and manage electrical contractors, ensuring the quality and timely completion of all electrical work on-site.
Design and Planning:
Prepare electrical plans, details, specifications, and cost estimates for electrical systems.
Ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project design, working closely with other engineering disciplines.
Manage design-stage projects, collaborating with consultants and focusing on the electrical aspects of each project.
Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all design-stage projects, providing guidelines and attending meetings with consultants to ensure smooth project coordination.
Contractor Coordination:
Review and approve contractors' electrical installation method statements and shop drawings to ensure alignment with design intent and specifications.
Collaborate with structural and electrical engineers to ensure proper coordination during the shop drawing review process.
Evaluate contractors' electrical material proposals and advise the Project Manager on their suitability.
Review subcontractor proposals from a technical perspective, ensuring alignment with project specifications.
Project Monitoring and Site Supervision:
Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical installations meet approved drawings, safety standards, and project specifications.
Oversee electrical system testing, commissioning methods, and schedules, ensuring strict adherence to established procedures.
Execution and Delivery:
Supervise the successful installation and execution of electrical systems, prioritizing safety, quality, and timely delivery.
Provide clear instructions to the project team to ensure tasks are completed as per design specifications and within the agreed timeframes.
Snagging and Handover:
Perform snagging and compile a list of defects for contractor action, ensuring rectification before project completion.
Oversee the preparation and delivery of Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manuals for installed electrical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and quality standards.
Communication and Reporting:
Attend project site meetings and electrical-specific technical discussions, reporting on progress and addressing any technical challenges as directed by the Project Manager.
Prepare site engineer’s instructions related to electrical services and issue them to the Project Manager.
Material and Resource Management:
Coordinate the timely procurement and planning of materials and manpower needed to complete electrical works on schedule.
Ensure that the project is executed as per contract requirements, delivering quality work while managing costs effectively.

Educational Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Work Experience (Range of years):
12-18 Years
Preferred Industry:
Experience in electrical systems management within construction or real estate projects. Strong technical expertise in electrical systems design, installation, and project coordination. Experience in managing contractors, site supervision, and project monitoring.
