Deputy Head of Credit

Deputy Head - Credit - MFB - Mumbai - Lodha (I-Think Techno Campus) - MM

1. Work in close collaboration with business team and facilitate them with seamless credit underwriting of potential partners.
2. Coordinate with the leadership team of business partner, obtain/evaluate all necessary documents for the purpose of credit underwriting.
3. Ensure 100% compliance in our lending standard adhering to the credit policy of the company.
4. Be the custodian of credit policy for retail lending business, evaluate the policy adherence time to time and raise red flag when it is breached.
5. Work closely with risk team and highlight possible credit losses at different point in time. Will be responsible for managing credit cost at the lowest level benchmarked to industry.
6. Will network in the industry and evaluate credit polices of others and suggest management to respond to external stimulus whenever needed.
7. Will provide expert view when new products or processes are to be introduced and give signoff.
8. Play a checker role in credit underwriting and ensure 100% process and quality assurance as per the organizational policy.

Key management Skill

Good understanding of credit underwriting, Understand critical attributes of legal and governance requirements Relationship management, excellent analytical skill, familiarity about technology advancement

 

 

 

Education

CA, CFA Or MBA (Finance Preferable)

Experience

5 Plus Years plus

Desired experience

1. Experience in dealing with credit underwriting of micro-finance, MSME and affordable housing loan.
2. In depth knowledge of doing corporate due diligence is a must. Due diligence experience of microfinance institution as a part of term loan, BC arrangement will be considered as a plus.
3. Broad understanding about governance framework.
4. Detail understanding of deep diving various credit bureau reports.
5. Ability to derive the credit policy of the organization from the scratch.
