We are seeking a skilled and experienced DevOps Engineer with strong Azure expertise to support our cloud infrastructure and development operations. This role is critical for implementing enterprise-grade Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions, orchestrating seamless CI/CD pipelines, and maintaining operational excellence and compliance standards within our Azure-centric environment. 

AWS experience is a nice-to-have for future platform migration, but the primary focus is on maximizing Azure capabilities and best practices.

Skills/Experience:
(Mandatory)

• Technical Requirements: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of DevOps experience with Azure cloud platform
  • Strong proficiency in Terraform (v1.1.8+) and Infrastructure as Code practices
  • Expert-level experience with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline development
  • Knowledge of containerization with Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
  • Proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, Python, and Azure CLI
  • Understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and monitoring tools
  • Experience with Azure services: Virtual Networks, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Azure Functions, Logic Apps 

  Nice-to-Have: 

  • Knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS) for 2026-2027 project planning
  • Familiarity with GitHub Actions and related CI/CD tooling  

  Preferred Qualifications 

  • Azure certifications (examples: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator) 
  • Knowledge of Terragrunt and advanced Terraform patterns. 
  • Familiarity with building assessment or project management applications 
  • Experience with Azure Update Management and backup strategies
  • Education and/or Experience: 2- or 4-year degree with concentration in Science/Commerce is preferred 
  • Fluent English – both oral and written communication

Major Responsibilities 

Organization & Team: 

• Collaborative team environment with software developers and architects 
• Ability to prioritize solutions and discuss tradeoffs, acting as DevOps subject matter expert for team
• Opportunity to lead cloud infrastructure initiatives
• Must successfully cross-train engineering colleagues to maintain infrastructure without DevOps assistance
• Coordinate with team entirely based in Americas Eastern and Pacific timezones
• Strong written correspondence skills, creating runbooks and documentation for operational procedures
• Manage projects and maintain status updates in Jira-like ticketing system ..

Azure Infrastructure Management: 

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure infrastructure using Terraform (v1.1.8+) and Terragrunt
• Manage Azure resources including VMs, App Services, Azure SQL, Storage Accounts, Virtual Networks, AKS
• Implement Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates and Bicep as needed
• Optimize Azure resource utilization and cost management 

Infrastructure as Code & Automation: 

• Develop and maintain Terraform configurations following BV best practices
• Implement version control and module reusability strategies
• Follow proper workspace management and environment isolation
• Manage infrastructure across multiple environments (development, staging, production)
• Implement automated testing and validation of infrastructure code

CI/CD Pipeline Management: 

• Design and maintain Azure DevOps pipelines for application development and deployment
• Ensure proper branching strategies and code review processes
• Manage Azure Artifacts repositories and deployment automation
• Implement blue-green and canary deployment strategies
• Optimize build and release pipeline performance 

Security & Compliance: 

• Implement Azure Key Vault for secrets management
• Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Azure AD integration
• Follow Azure security best practices and implement MFA
• Ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas security standards
• Implement encryption strategies and Azure Policy for governance
• Follow ISM conventions and security frameworks 

Monitoring & Operations: 

• Develop SLOs for critical applications
• Set up comprehensive monitoring & observability using Azure Monitor and Application Insights
• Implement automated backup and disaster recovery procedures using Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery
• Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting
• Maintain clear technical documentation for pipelines and workflows
• Configure alerting and incident response procedures
