KRC Audit Director
KRC (‘KGS Audit’) is one of two audit businesses based in India, providing audit professionals to support KPMG member firms globally. In 2021 the business delivered over 2.5 million hours, for ten member firms, and provided support to all sectors. The position
The Director position based in Gurgaon/Mumbai/Bangalore will be pivotal in driving the change and successfully delivering both the strategy and the planned growth in the KGS UK Insurance team alongside leading a portfolio of Audited entities.
Role
We deliver significant on a large Bank from India. This role will be to oversee the overall delivery, work on the more complex areas, and manage client and Senior RI relationships and responsibilities
In addition, the resource will act as the site lead for Mumbai, where the most senior KRC team member reporting to this level is a Senior Manager.
Responsibilities
Work closely with the with Associate Partner leading the UK FS practice, your role will include three key focus areas:
•Client delivery - lead a portfolio of audit client engagements and work closely with the RIs onshore and the KGS team.•Team management - Lead an audit client delivery team that consists of approximately 100 FTEs working on onshore audits for the UK Insurance clients. In the near future it is expected that additional client delivery teams are added to the role•Take charge of developing people, capabilities, Strategy, Innovation and Quality for the Insurance and in a few cases the overall UK FS teamWithin these three focus areas the following responsibilities are expected:
•Managing international clients and leading audits with high quality delivery whereby constantly contributing to the Audit Quality of both the onshore and offshore practice.•Build and develop strong relationships with key onshore member firm stakeholders and act as a main point of contact for onshore departments involved in innovation, business support, audit quality and client delivery•Drive audit quality, lead the audit quality team, and further develop a learning organization which includes operational reviews, as well as learning and knowledge sharing sessions•Contribute and drive the development of strategic initiatives and vision on the audit of the future•Continual action to increase penetration and identify new opportunities for growth•Act as the Performance Manager and lead the career development of staff members•Motivate, develop and coach Senior Managers, Managers, Assistant Managers and Team Leaders to deliver quality and to become effective leaders•Maintain rigor around risk & compliance guidelines of the firm, and workout plans to mitigate business risks•Attract and retain the right talent to support the business growth agenda•Enable a culture of high performance and establish KGS Audit as the “clear choice” for peopleTechnical
•Proven strong and extensive experience in external audit Insurance/FS service delivery•In depth knowledge of auditing Insurance and/or FS clients/Group Audits•Proven experience in the development and implementation of strategic growth plans•Understanding of advanced reporting tools (e.g. PowerBI)•Past experience in managing strategy and improvement projects will be an added advantage•Past experience in leading quality initiatives will be an added advantage•Strong analytical bent of mind and structured problem-solving approach•An understanding of Audit tools and technology and any experience around automation would be a plus.Leadership

•Professional Chartered Accountancy qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CPA or ICAI)•12+ years of experience with a Big 4 in a client facing environment working with corporate and/or international clientsExperience Level
