Fund Servicing_Vice President

The JP Morgan Fund Services Trades Team manages trade capture, validation and review of trades recorded in accounting books that leads to the correct valuation of the mutual fund clients. This Fund Services Trades Team take direct responsibility for the production, review and delivery of the activities related to Regulatory requirements and client reporting along with other activities. This role involves participation in the production and review from a detailed and quality perspective of both NAV impacting activities and regulatory reports. Domain Expert for the team .

Job Summary

As a Vice President within the Fund Services Trades Team, you act as escalation point & ensure timely and appropriate escalation of actual/ potential delays and issues with the Supervisors and Mgmt.

Job responsibilities

  • Demonstrate leadership skills - build management skills to build an organization by hiring and retaining key talent
  • Manage Senior level stakeholder to raise the service level deliverables and obtain greater scores in Customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Utilize inter-personal skills to work closely with Business transformation teams to identify, lead change and ensure execution
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement working closely with Technology partners to improve the execution, quality, efficiency & consistency of services across the global operations catering to multi geography clients
  • Drive culture of Risk and control with the team and the business.
  • Ensure employee connect - coaching and mentoring of direct and indirect reportees.
  • Effectively be a leader capable of motivating, developing and supporting staff, training and managing the team
  • Establish policies, procedures and guidelines which comply with internal and external controls to ensure that the statements and work to continuously strengthen the controls environment
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Extensive experience in managing high end customers & institutional clients across multiple jurisdictions and geographies and establishing permanent and sustainable business relations with these strategic clients
  • Experience as a Program lead for a large transformation initiative ideally with some banking or capital markets experience
  • Proven ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations and drive solution
  •  Proven ability to understand broad business issues and their strategic implications 
  •  Ability to keep pace with technical/ operational innovation with an understanding of customer needs and industry trends
  •  Proven ability to analyse and assess the business and financial impact of TOM changes

  •  Able to share and receive information, transfer knowledge and expertise to / from team members
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • MBA/Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics 
  • 12-15 years of  relevant industry experience within Banking/ Investment Banking  Operations 
  •  Minimum 8 years of experience in managing teams
