Job Purpose

• Responsible for Regional Fiber Planning, Projects and Operation functions.
• Deliver planning, project and operations KPIs as per Organization requirement
• Meet mobility & enterprise services experience expectation by implementing highest quality of workmanship and cost effective operating model

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Enhance VIL’s fiber footprint to connect mobility and enterprise services by cost effective and efficient planning & budgeting within the region. 
• Responsible for annual Capex & Opex forecast and control.
• Optimal utilization of Fiber Capex to deliver best in class and scalable fiber infrastructure with resiliencies to ensure high standard network uptime.
• Developing, onboarding and Operationalization of IRU partners to deliver additional fiber requirements of VIL.
• Rollout of OWN & IRU fiber as per AOP target. Enable new POP and NW rollout by providing new fiber pairs as per requirement.
• Develop and Operationalization of regional operating model to meet organization requirement.
• Deliver planning, Project & Operational KPIs and SLAs by working closely with circle teams & MS partners.
• Work closely with circle teams, HUB CTO for developing innovative & cost effective Fiber infrastructure solutions for varied customers like TSP, OTT, smart city & govt. projects etc.

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• 15-20 years of Telecom experience and Proficiency in understanding overall transport NW architecture and key cost drivers.
• Ability to manage in dynamic, high growth and highly uncertainty environments.  Strategic mind bend and understanding of  overall mobility and enterprise Network  
• Sound understanding of Capex & Opex and budgetary skills to derive best out of NW at lowest possible cost.
• Excellent Analytical skills, team building and inter-personal relationship skill to excel cross functional projects and ensure best customer experience. Should employ a specific time management strategy to ensure closure of fiber projects on fixed time periods.
• Overall understanding of financial model to support new Fibre vertical. Also should have clear understanding of evolving Govt. policies related to ROW, so as to align the process for optimizing the cost.
• Strong Stakeholder management, Negotiation skills and Strategic mind set to make win-win alliance with TSP partners and IRU partners. trong Stakeholder management, Negotiation skills and Strategic mind set to make win-win alliance with TSP partners

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Should  have  B.tech/B.E
• 15-20 years of Telecom experience
