Job Description:
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Program Manager/Director to lead the global implementation of an advanced Supply Chain Planning Solution.
This role is responsible for driving end-to-end program design and execution, aligning stakeholders across business units and geographies, and ensuring the successful adoption of new planning capabilities that support operational excellence, scalability, and profitable growth. This program is a cornerstone of our digital transformation strategy, aiming to optimize E2E supply chain planning across multiple regions, product categories, and vendor/customer ecosystems.
The ideal candidate will combine strong program leadership, supply chain expertise, and technology solution implementation experience to deliver a transformative planning platform that enables demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory optimization, and procurement alignment in a complex, fast-moving global distribution environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Governance
- Lead the overall global Supply Chain Planning Solution Implementation Program from initiation through stabilization.
- Define and manage program governance structure, charters, and executive steering committee reporting.
- Establish program KPIs, success criteria, and ensure alignment with corporate strategy and business outcomes.
- Oversee program budget, resources, and vendor partnerships to deliver within scope, timeline, and cost.
Business Process Transformation
- Drive end-to-end process re-engineering for demand planning, supply planning, procurement, and inventory management.
- Align business requirements with best practices embedded in the chosen planning solution.
- Partner with global and regional leaders to harmonize processes while respecting local market needs.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory requirements, and sustainability initiatives.
Technology Implementation
- Oversee design, configuration, integration, and deployment of the chosen supply chain planning platform (e.g., Blue Yonder, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9 or equivalent).
- Manage system integration across ERP, procurement, logistics, and analytics platforms.
- Ensure robust data management, governance, and master data quality standards.
- Drive testing, change impact assessment, and cutover planning for phased rollouts.
Stakeholder & Change Management
- Serve as the primary liaison between IT, business units, solution providers, and external consultants.
- Facilitate executive alignment, stakeholder buy-in, and communication across global functions.
- Lead structured change management, training, and adoption initiatives to ensure long-term value realization.
- Build a center of excellence (COE) or competency framework for continuous improvement post-implementation.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, or Information Systems; MBA or Master’s preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 10+ years in program or portfolio leadership roles.
- Proven track record leading large-scale global technology-enabled supply chain transformation programs in complex distribution or high-tech industries.
- Deep knowledge of supply chain planning processes (demand, supply, S&OP/IBP, inventory optimization).
- Experience implementing leading planning solutions (e.g., Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder, SAP IBP). Blue Yonder experience is highly desired
Skills & Competencies
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management in matrixed, global organizations.
- Strong knowledge of distribution-specific challenges: channel partner dynamics, multi-vendor sourcing, high-volume SKU management, and demand variability
- Ability to manage and balance global standardization with regional/local requirements.
- Strong financial acumen with ability to manage multi-million-dollar programs.
- Expertise in process re-engineering, solution design, and technology implementation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset, with data-driven decision-making.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, risk, and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Certifications: PMP, Agile, or equivalent preferred.
Location & Travel
- Global role, but based in Mumbai, India office.
- Requires up to 30 - 40% international travel, depending on program phase and rollout cadence.
