Synopsis of the role 

Delivers and manages production operations for all applications that are part of the designated business domain. Responsible for ensuring their current functioning in production at all times. 

Accountability

The key accountability of this function is to own, deliver the Equifax India Cloud Transformation program which is very unique and different and complex as compared with other countries’ cloud transformation programs in many ways. Manage the business changes across all different stakeholder groups that are a part of this program and are involved in its development, testing, implementation, and production tech operations.

The broad range of responsibilities this includes 

• Application Migration

  • Manage the end-to-end change delivery for the migration of all applications to GCP Commerce Platform, Global Batch, APIGEE, Data Prep, Ignite etc.

  • Responsible for the overall governance, risk and controls implementation across the technology landscape and its reporting from an RBI perspective.

  • Manage the migration of the database of an unprecedented size of 100 Billion records from Oracle to Data Fabric in GCP, all Inquiry data from Elasticsearch and Cassandra onto Data Fabric.

  • Deliver the end-to-end P3, P4, and P5 levels of GCP cloud migration of the scale and size of volumes and complexity mentioned above.

• Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC)

  • Governance

    • Create the Business Case for the programs covering the architecture, financials, business benefits of the different programs. Ensure follow-throughs on their approval processes.

    • Ensure program governance routines, cadences and escalation processes are carried out as per planned calendars with vendors.

  • Risk

    • Implement integrations of all applications with IAM

    • SOC/SIEM integrations for all applications

    • Integration with Ping/Okta for authentication of external users

    • Identify, track, and mitigate all program risks through RAID logs.

  • Controls

    • Identify and implement checkpoints and milestones to be tracked for development projects as well as BAU.

• Budgets and Financials

  • Tech Budget

    • Maintain program budgets with line item level details of the spends across all of tech, including business applications and their underlying infra and platforms, end user applications and their underlying infra, as well as resource headcounts.

    • Ensure cloud costs are forecasted correctly and handed off to finance, and the invoicing/chargeback are in alignment with the forecasts.

  • Financials

    • Work closely with finance to provide accurate and timely cost and spend projections so as to ensure that finance is able to accurately account for the financials into the P&L.

• Resource Management

  • Resource Tracking

    • Ensure that resource hiring and development plans are put in place for all resources, and are executed with no exceptions.

    • Ensure that all resources possess the requisite skillets to work on Google cloud, including Fabric, BigQuery, Data Flow etc.

    • All mandatory certifications are to be completed by all the resources.

    • Ensure that each third party vendor resource has a defined exit date and the exit procedures are carried out in accordance with the defined exit date.

What you’ll do

• Be the accountable executive to deliver and manage the Google Cloud Transformation program for your designated area.

• Develop strong working relationships with local stakeholders like Product, Ops, HR, Finance etc.

• Deliver all applications and maintain them in production through a combination of own development, vendor development, or vendor products so as to ensure that end business outcomes are achieved.

• Vendor Management

• Review and track Supplier SLAs and KPIs to ensure optimum portfolio support for Delivery teams

• Technology Controls

• Manage Technology Enterprise Risk Register

• Representing Technology in Governance forums and initiatives like Risk Committee

• Establish and maintain the Business Process Architecture for core Technology Processes with support of accountable process owners.

• Business Strategy and Planning

• Ensures that operational procedures are fit for purpose, and that operational problems are identified and resolved

What experience you need

Mandatory

• Senior bankingTech Delivery Leader with senior tech delivery head roles in banks/investment banks.

• Experience of 22 to 25 years out of which at least 10-12 years in delivering enterprise business solutions

• Experience with a bank with exposure to RBI submissions, audits, and assessments

• Proven ability to work with others to achieve results and proactively address sources of conflict and emotion with focus on the best solution

Preferred

• Experience of setting up and managing high performance bank tech architecture from scratch.

• Evidence of developing and maintaining effective relationships across business and IT in a matrix-structure / international organization
