Lead - Finance & Accounts

Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Oversee end-to-end accounting processes including AP, AR, GL, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
  • Review and approve journal entries, ledgers, and financial adjustments.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable accounting standards (Ind AS / IFRS / GAAP).
2. Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
  • Assist in preparing annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and variance analysis.
  • Provide insights on financial performance, cost optimization, and profitability.
  • Support business leaders with financial reports and decision-making dashboards.
3. Compliance, Audit & Controls
  • Ensure adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, TDS, Income Tax, ROC, etc.).
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors for timely audits and closure of observations.
  • Strengthen internal controls and financial policies.
4. Treasury & Cash Flow Management
  • Monitor daily cash flow, working capital requirements, and fund utilization.
  • Liaise with banks for facilities, documentation, and financial instruments.
  • Forecast cash requirements and manage treasury operations efficiently.
5. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the finance & accounts team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, HR, sales, procurement, and leadership teams.
  • Present financial reports and recommendations to management.

Qualifications

 

Education
  • CA / CMA (preferred)
  • MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification
Experience
  • 6–10 years of progressive experience in Finance & Accounts
  • At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or lead role
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally, etc.)
Skills
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards, taxation, and compliance
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • High attention to detail and integrity
