Lead Technical Program Manager – Digital Channels & Connectivity

As the Lead Technical Program Manager within Digital Channels & Connectivity as a part of Corporate and Investment Banking-Payments, you will promote the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs to achieve business goals across the firm. You will leverage your deep knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories to develop innovative solutions while effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business objectives. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence business and technology decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Job responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure on-time delivery of technology solutions
- Identify and mitigate risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing contingency plans to maintain project and program momentum
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and business stakeholders, to define program scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
- Utilize advanced analytical reasoning to assess program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven optimizations to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
- Champion the adoption of agile methodologies and technical solutions, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the team
- Assess and drive up maturity, speed of delivery, and execution quality within & across teams
- Communicate succinctly and impactfully
- Be adept at hypothesis-driven structured problem solving
- Facilitate compliance and risk approval for product and application rollouts in markets
- Collaborate with agile teams and information security managers (ISMs) to complete APAC risk assessments and audit responses.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- Advanced expertise in stakeholder management, with the ability to establish productive working relationships and influence decision-making across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
- Advanced experience in utilizing technical fluency, including knowledge of vendor products and managing vendor relations, to enable on-demand access to shared pools of applications and services
- Proven track record of effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams in a fast-paced, agile environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem-solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities
- Demonstrated good team building with strong leadership and people management skills
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Demonstrated expertise on driving execution with agility, at scale
- Demonstrated expertise on coaching and large group facilitation
- Familiar with APAC banking regulatory bodies (e.g. MAS, HKMA, FSS, etc.), as well hands-on experiences in dealing with internal auditors, Compliance and regulators
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalence in work experience with Technology Delivery and Project Management Office
- Technology risk and controls experience
