Manager - Commercial (Costing)

Key Responsibilities 

1. Operational Excellence

Regulatory Related Activity

• Ensure compliance with NPPA, NLEM, and DPCO rules and regulations.
• Stay updated on relevant laws and bylaws, informing concerned departments of any changes.
• Coordinate with internal teams to implement regulatory requirements effectively.

Cost Analysis & Reports

• Support procurement decisions by identifying cost-effective manufacturing sites for products.
• Conduct cost comparisons among different vendors and alternate API sources to optimize spending.
• Ensure maximum cost savings and operational efficiency through thorough financial analysis.

Cost Budget / Purchase Budget

• Provide timely preliminary data for outsourcing and own-manufactured products by November-end of the previous year.
• Streamline the finalization of finished products for effective cost control.
• Optimize plant revenue and standard budget costing through accurate planning.

2. Financial Excellence

Cost Saving

• Identify products for cost benefits by shifting production locations where feasible.
• Analyze yield variance (standard vs actual) and compare single-line product costs with vendor quotes.
• Negotiate API rates with approved vendors to optimize procurement costs.

Monthly MIS

• Ensure accurate reporting of yield variance and assay (quantity) variance across all loan license and own plant locations.
• Generate detailed MIS reports for financial planning and decision-making.

Account Related Issues

• Manage the release of payments and ensure timely payment recovery.
• Reconcile short receipt of payments and address discrepancies.
• Work closely with finance teams to resolve outstanding account-related issues.

3. Customer Excellence

CWH Related Issues

• Manage central warehouse (CWH) operations efficiently.
• Optimize PO creation and handle quantity adjustments as needed.
• Resolve issues related to rates, MRP discrepancies, and vendor coordination.
