Role: Manager - Core Room

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Preferred knowledge areas:
• Knowledge of Foundry Technology Processes.
• Knowledge of Sand parameters & its effects on casting.
*Expert knowledge of core making processes of COLD-BOX, SHELL SAND PROCESSES.
• Knowledge of LORAMENDI  or Equivalent core making cell with robotics
• Knowledge of Foundry Refractory coatings and its applications.
* Expert Knowledge about HPML and it's auxilary equipments like cooling lines / Water circulations etc. can independently manage and control.
* Expert knowledge about COLD-BOX Sand Mixer, sand transfer system, SCRUBBER & dust collector.
* Basic knowledge of Induction Furnace, melting operations, Press Pour.
• Knowledge of preceding and subsequent process like Molding, Melting, Fettling and Tool room (Pattern related) etc.
* Good knowlrdge of Safety pokayoke, Safety systems, Ergonomics & Environment aspects.
• Knowledge of 7QC tools, Daily Work Management, TPM, 5S, Lean manufacturing, ISO, TS 16949, OHSAS18001. etc.
• Knowledge of casting defects, analysis and it's remedy.
• Knowledge of DCP, PPAP, APQP
• Knowledge of Revenue cost elements and it’s measures to control it.
• Knowledge about Energy conservation techniques.
• Knowledge about resource planning and resource optimization.

Education Qualification

B.E or Diploma in Mechanical / Metallurgy, Post Diploma in Foundry Technology.

General Experience

12-15 Years of relevant work experience

Requirements

Understanding of Improvement Tools like TPM / 5S /MAPS / Lean manufacturing.
Technical knowledge and skill about Moulding practices.
Foundry Process knowledge.

Foundry Cast Iron Production Process, Man Management skills,  Competency on Cold box and shell sand process, cylinder head core assemblies and processing, LORAMENDI OR EQUIVALENT core making cell  and Sand Plant operations.
Sand Parameters & its control.
Castings Defects, it's analysis and remedy.
Raw material, bentonite, Coal dust.
