Job Purpose

To ensure network uptime for radio and microwave (MW) systems and support the improvement of network KPIs for all technologies.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Rectify MW and Radio Access Network (RAN) alarms within defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting RAN/MW networks.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Network Uptime: Maintaining Operations for radio (RAN) and transmission equipment (LTE, WCDMA, GSM) with a target of >99.80% uptime.
• Overseeing both breakdown (reactive) and preventive maintenance of BSS network elements, including BTS and Microwave (MW) equipment.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Liaising with external infrastructure providers (IPs), the Super Network Operations Center (SNOC), and internal project/optimization.
• Compliance: Ensuring 100% adherence to Vodafone’s Health, Safety, and Wellbeing (HSW) policies and code of conduct during field operations.
• Sound knowledge of RAN/MW troubleshooting.
• Proficiency with specific hardware such as Nokia BTS(4G & 5G), Ericsson (MLTN,ML66XX Series) and Huawei RTN equipment

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• Professional Qualifications – BE (Electronics and Communication)
• Experience in network O&M
• B.E. / B.TECH in Electronics and Communication and typically 2-5 years of experience in BSS O&M RAN/MW domain are required, with sound knowledge of troubleshooting RAN/MW networks
