Key Responsibilities

  • Data Integrity & Submissions: Execute and validate periodic data extractions from core banking systems (CBS) to ensure they meet bureau-specific technical specifications.
  • Advanced Reconciliation: Perform deep-dive analysis on complex data rejection reports (e.g., mismatched demographics or loan statuses) and coordinate with branch or product teams for correction.
  • Automation & Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to replace manual reporting steps with automated scripts or automation tools to enhance speed and accuracy.
  • Dispute Management: Manage the end-to-end consumer grievance process (online and offline) within mandated turnaround times (TAT). Handle escalated consumer disputes or internal portals, ensuring complex cases are resolved within internal defined timelines as per current standards.
  • Reporting & Dashboards: Design and update performance dashboards for the Team Leader to track submission quality and team productivity.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance to junior team members on data querying and bureau reporting logic.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a Master’s degree or professional certification is highly preferred.
  • Experience: 5–8 years of experience in credit reporting or data quality management, or banking operations.
  • Technical Proficiency: Ability to understand credit data formats (e.g., RBI standard format), SQL for data querying, and advanced Excel.
  • Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of consumer/commercial credit products and understanding of internal systems
  • Analytical Skills: Proven ability to troubleshoot large datasets and identify systematic errors.

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

  1. Data Accuracy: Maintenance of a "clean file" status with bureaus, targeting <0.5% system-led errors (pre & post reporting).
  2. Process Automation: Successful automation of recurring manual reconciliation process.
  3. Dispute TAT: Maintaining a 100% resolution rate for assigned disputes within regulatory timelines.
  4. Audit Preparedness: Ensuring zero major findings in periodic data quality audits.
