About the Team

As a Seasoned Principal Services Executive in India, you will play a key role as Trusted Advisor and be the bridge between our India based Customers, Prospects, Account executives, Sales Directors, Pre-sales, Our ecosystem of partners and vast capability of our broader Customer Experience organization which includes – Global Services (including our Global Services Hubs in Mumbai & Pune), Customer Success, Education, Support as well as accelerate motions to drive adoption and consumption of our platform and new innovations across our Customers in India. This is a new role and our 1st strategic hiring in India in this capacity, so we are looking for a seasoned candidate with lot of passion for what Workday represents in the market and have a great knowledge and understanding of our offerings as well as be our brand ambassador of Workday Values.

The team of Service Executives across APAC plays a meaningful role in connecting Workday’s services and sales organizations; ensuring that we are supporting broader GTM teams along with subscription sales by differentiating Workday’s approach and methodology, as well as ensuring that our customers are set up to be successful in their deployment projects and meet their business objectives.

Our aim is to be trusted advisors to our prospects and customers, our ecosystem, working to Workday’s core values of Customer Service and Integrity, and protecting Workday’s proven track record of customer happiness. Successful candidates will be passionate about working as part of an account team driving and supporting sales cycles; engaging with customers to develop deployment strategies and plans that meet their requirements; and leading detailed and sophisticated sales processes, preparing estimates, proposals and contracts.

About the Role

Workday is World Leader in enterprise-class, software-as-a-service (SaaS) Human Capital Management, Planning, Financial Management (Cloud ERP) solutions as well as niche set of AI offerings for enabling and empowering enterprises across the world. As Workday Services Executive, you will be responsible for planning, management, and execution of all Global Services priorities and GTM in India for our Global Services Organization. You will be a key team member of the Workday APAC Global Services team as well as India GTM leadership team, working across various direct and indirect sales motions across India.

You’ll use your experience with consulting sales, past delivery management and project delivery experience to help prospects put together a plan for a successful roadmap for value realization, including guidance and advisory for driving change, transformation, resources, timeline, and costs. You’ll employ effective selling strategies to successfully position Workday’s SaaS Solutions and Platform technologies as the efficient, modern alternative, and you will be a specialist in our innovative deployment methodology. You will work closely with our Service Partners to help them plan successful projects and grow their business. What you’ll do:

  • Understand the competitive landscape and prospect needs so you can effectively position the value of our Global Services deployment methodology and packaged service offerings
  • Work with Account Executive, Pre-sales Specialists, Value Engineers, Managing Partners, Partner Managers and Customer Success Managers to determine Services Strategy for customer base accounts as well as in acquisition strategy for strategic net new customers across India.
  • Consultative Selling - GTM lead for showcasing relevance, impact and value of Workday's Customer Experience offerings (full portfolio of service offerings) and conducts services discovery sessions.
  • Business Development - Qualify, Lead, Strategize with GTM teams on effective transformation strategy for Customers/ Prospects. This would include RFPs/ RFIs/ Tenders/ Collaboration across advisory and thought leadership firms including creation and validation of Global Services Proposals including commercials and high-level Project Plans.
  • Nurture mutually helpful relationships with Workday Service Partners.
  • Teamwork, leadership & Collaboration - Partner with Project Directors/ Engagement Managers, Customers on health of customer engagements as well as coordinate right intervention from Partners, Global Services and broader CX teams
  • Expert ability to prioritize and effective pipeline management
  • Assess project team training needs for prospects and customers.
  • Maintain accurate and timely prospect, pipeline, and service forecast data.
  • Handle, negotiate, and close Professional Services Agreements, Statements of Work and other contractual documentation
  • Provide support for services, activities and events.
  • Respond to RFIs/RFPs/RFQs

About You

Basic Qualifications

  • 12–18+ years in Professional Services, Consulting Sales, ERP/HCM/Financials transformation, or SaaS services roles.
  • Strong grounding in Workday, SAP, Oracle, SuccessFactors, or comparable SaaS ecosystems.
  • Experience in India enterprise transformation programs across BFSI, IT/ITeS, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, GCCs, or high-growth digital organizations.
  • Demonstrated success influencing large, multi-cloud, multi-tower transformation deals.
  • Domain understanding of AI in the enterprise, automation, integration strategies, and modern deployment patterns.
  • Ability to travel ~10% within India.

Other Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent industry credentials preferred.
  • Proven ability in managing complex services sales cycles from start to finish with a track record of successful service revenue and profitability attainment preferred
  • Experience in consulting and project delivery is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of vendors, products, and services in the ERP application space
  • Great presentation skills while participating in a fast-paced, complex product and services sales cycle
