Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Citrix & NetScaler L3 Support Engineer to provide advanced support and administration for enterprise-scale Citrix environments. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix ADC (NetScaler), StoreFront, and strong troubleshooting capabilities at the infrastructure level.

This role involves handling critical incidents, driving root cause analysis, and working closely with architecture, security, and network teams for optimization and high availability of Citrix workloads.

Key Responsibilities

Citrix Support (CVAD/Cloud)

  • Manage, support, and troubleshoot Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (7.x/2203 LTSR and above).
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Citrix Cloud and Citrix DaaS environments.
  • Handle user profile management (FSLogix, UPM) and Citrix Policies.
  • Support and administer StoreFront, Director, and Citrix Studio.
  • Perform health checks, monitoring, and performance tuning of Citrix environments.
  • Manage and upgrade Machine Creation Services (MCS) or Provisioning Services (PVS).

NetScaler (Citrix ADC)

  • Configure and maintain Citrix ADC (formerly NetScaler) for Gateway, Load Balancing, GSLB, SSL Offloading, and Content Switching.
  • Troubleshoot complex access issues including SSO, authentication, and high availability.
  • Automate ADC configurations using CLI or Nitro APIs.
  • Manage integration with external identity providers (SAML, LDAP, RADIUS, MFA).

L3 Incident and Change Management

  • Handle critical and escalated support incidents; drive root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
  • Lead the resolution of P1/P2 issues involving Citrix or ADC platforms.
  • Participate in change management planning and execution with minimal disruption to services.
  • Review and improve existing monitoring and alerting for proactive issue identification.

Documentation and Knowledge Transfer

  • Maintain operational documentation, configuration guides, and architecture diagrams.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to L1 and L2 support teams.
  • Work with security and compliance teams on regular audits and patching.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) administration.
  • 4+ years of experience with Citrix ADC (NetScaler) (MPX/VPX/SDX).
  • Strong CLI and GUI-based troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with Citrix Cloud, Azure, or Hybrid deployments.
  • Experience with FSLogix, App Layering, GPOs, DNS, and Active Directory.
  • Understanding of Load Balancing, SSL Certificates, TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and Firewalls.
  • Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for Citrix automation.

Key Responsibilities of Windows:

  • Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Microsoft IIS (versions 7.5, 8.5, 10) web servers.
  • Install, configure, patch, and maintain Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 environments.
  • Perform regular system monitoring, log analysis, and performance tuning.
  • Manage website deployments, SSL certificates, and application pools.
  • Collaborate with developers to deploy .NET applications and resolve hosting-related issues.
  • Implement and manage high-availability and load-balanced IIS environments.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, applying patches and hardening servers.
  • Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning for web server infrastructure.
  • Document configuration settings, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Preferred Certifications

  • Citrix Certified Expert – Virtualization (CCE-V)
  • Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N)
  • ITIL Foundation certification

Work Schedule / On-Call
