Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a Field Systems Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing basic required system field devices and performing commissioning using standard configuration and commissioning tools. You will also troubleshoot and resolve system problems and respond to basic warranty calls. The Field Systems Technician will keep JCI, contractors, and customers informed of job progress and any issues as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install basic system field devices as required for project completion
• Commission newly installed devices using standard configuration and commissioning tools
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic system issues
• Respond to and resolve warranty calls within service level agreements
• Maintain clear and timely communication with JCI personnel, contractors, and customers on job progress, challenges, and resolutions
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with standards, protocols, and safety requirements
• Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain tools and equipment in clean and working order

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, or maintenance of field devices and systems
• Familiarity with standard configuration and commissioning tools
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites as required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with building automation or control systems
• Industry certifications related to system installation and/or commissioning
