Job Summary

Synechron is looking for a skilled Prompt Engineer to join our innovative technology team. This role is critical in designing and implementing technology solutions that integrate emerging platforms such as mobile, cloud, IoT, and blockchain, aligned with business objectives. The Prompt Engineer collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of scalable, high-quality software solutions, supporting Synechron’s commitment to technological advancement and customer value creation.

Software Requirements

Required:

• Strong understanding of technology platforms including mobile, cloud, Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain.

• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.

• Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.

• Experience with version control tools, preferably Git.

• Use of project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

Preferred:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IoT frameworks.

• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies.

• Experience with blockchain development frameworks.

Overall Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to analyze technology requirements and develop suitable technical solutions.

• Create detailed technical specifications and comprehensive documentation for new features and enhancements.

• Monitor and evaluate emerging technology trends to recommend integration opportunities within existing systems.

• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to established standards.

• Participate in technical issue resolution and provide expert support to team members.

• Work with testing teams to ensure solutions meet functional and quality standards before deployment.

• Contribute to process improvements in development, testing, and deployment practices.

Technical Skills (By Category)

Programming Languages:

• Required: Java, Python, Node.js

• Preferred: Additional scripting languages or frameworks related to cloud or IoT

Databases/Data Management:

• Basic knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases (Preferred)

Cloud Technologies:

• Required: Understanding of cloud platforms concepts (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Preferred: Hands-on experience with cloud services and IoT platforms

Frameworks and Libraries:

• Familiarity with software frameworks relevant to mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain development (Preferred)

Development Tools and Methodologies:

• Required: Git for version control

• Required: Agile and Scrum methodologies

• Required: Tools such as JIRA and Confluence for project and documentation management

Security Protocols:

• Awareness of security best practices especially related to cloud and blockchain (Preferred)

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in software development roles with a focus on diverse technology platforms such as mobile, cloud, IoT, or blockchain.

• Proven experience working within Agile teams and familiarity with SDLC from requirements through delivery.

• Demonstrated expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams and performing code reviews.

• Experience with development tools such as Git, JIRA, and Confluence is essential.

• Prior involvement in designing and deploying solutions that integrate emerging technologies is beneficial.

Day-to-Day Activities

• Attend daily stand-ups and sprint planning meetings to discuss ongoing projects and priorities.

• Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements.

• Design, write, test, and deploy software features aligned with project goals.

• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to maintain code quality.

• Keep abreast of new technology developments and assess their applicability.

• Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to team members.

• Document technical designs, changes, and processes for reference and onboarding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.

• Relevant certifications in Agile methodologies, cloud platforms, or specific technology domains are advantageous.
