Job Title: Safety and Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of safety protocols and maintenance operations within our industrial unit. This role requires a strong understanding of safety regulations, maintenance procedures, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Safety Protocols: Design, implement, and maintain comprehensive safety protocols to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Regularly review and update safety procedures to reflect best practices and emerging risks.

Conduct Risk Assessments: Identify potential safety hazards and conduct risk assessments to mitigate risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment. Develop strategies to minimize workplace accidents and incidents.

Train Employees: Provide training and guidance to employees on safety procedures, equipment operation, and emergency response protocols. Foster a culture of safety awareness and compliance throughout the organization.

Manage Maintenance Activities: Oversee maintenance activities, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspections. Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure timely resolution of issues and minimal disruption to operations.

Troubleshooting and Problem Solving: Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, mechanical failures, and other maintenance issues. Develop solutions to resolve problems efficiently and effectively.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency. Implement initiatives to optimize maintenance practices and reduce downtime.

Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to safety and maintenance. Maintain accurate records and documentation of safety inspections, maintenance activities, and incident reports.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related field.

Proven experience in industrial safety management and maintenance operations.

Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.

Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, CIH) is a plus.

Experience with industrial equipment and machinery is preferred.
