Job Purpose: The Security Operations is responsible for ensuring the right implementation of the security governance framework and ensures timely planning of security activities and initiatives for managing the security at AEML.

Lead Security Operations

Security Governance and Compliance:

Oversee the implementation of governance cadence as per the formulated governance framework.

Plan for the security activities for the financial year in close collaboration with the PSH and VSH.

Conduct and participate in cadence meetings and review sessions to evaluate security performance.

Risk & Crisis Management:

Ensure periodic updating and adherence to the crisis/risk management plan.

Identify security KPIs and ensure timely monitoring of KPIs to ensure effective performance.

Review, revise and implement the process for risk assessment on a timely manner to ensure adherence to security protocols and standards.

Ensure implementation of assessment on a periodic basis to project the assets and internal affairs for business continuity.

Develop, evaluate, and implement mitigation plans for identified risks/threats and obtain necessary sign-offs from the business.

Conduct regular security risk assessments for all projects and operation sites and implement mitigation measures to counter identified threats.

Identify vulnerabilities in security infrastructure, operations, and technologies; prioritize and close gaps within established timelines.

Physical Security of Assets:

Implement standards and guidelines as per Group at the site for asset protection at sites.

Develop and implement an asset protection plan for different assets and prepare education processes related to security operations.

Security Audits and Investigations :

Implement standards and guidelines recommended by the group for Adani Electricity business.

Design audit frameworks and conduct audits to ensure adherence to functional policies and SOPs.

Apply risk management principles to identify and evaluate probable security risks.

Lead audits and investigations into security breaches, frauds, and financial misdemeanors.

Review findings of audit reports and plan for closure of findings with the concerned departments.

Manage functional training programs for security personnel and improve competency scores.

Security Operations Management:

Support the VSH in Opex and CAPEX budgeting exercise and monitor budget adherence for any potential deviations

Security Budgeting:

Review, validate, and authorize annual capital and operational budgets, aligning spending with security priorities.

Track and manage security expenditures, serving as the approval authority within delegated limits for budgetary decisions.

Engage in budget review meetings with leadership to address variances, ensuring efficient use of resources and budget alignment.

Strategy & Initiatives:

Partner with Corporate Security to establish a strategy aligned with group-wide goals, setting a strategic roadmap for business units and sites.

Lead security projects with Business Heads Heads, ensuring all initiatives reach completion and align with operational priorities.

Provide input for the Concept of Operations (CONOPS), detailing countermeasures against threats and overseeing their application across sites.

Intelligence & Vigilance:

Establish and maintain channels for collecting intelligence on emerging security risks, allowing for proactive threat management.

Build relationships with law enforcement, government agencies, and media to ensure a steady flow of actionable intelligence.

Use gathered intelligence to advise management on potential risks, providing strategies to mitigate these threats.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree (any) and Master’s degree in business management/ Operations or relevant field(preferred)
