The AVAS team is a critical part of our Financial Services division, specializing in supporting Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) for leading banks and financial institutions. As an Application Support Specialist within the AVAS team, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-level support for mission-critical OFSAA applications. You are the first point of escalation for complex production issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure application stability, rapid incident resolution, and an exceptional client experience in a dynamic banking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of escalation for application-related incidents, providing in-depth analysis and permanent solutions.

• Run, monitor, and debug periodic application batches to ensure seamless operations.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective and preventive measures.

• Analyze application logs, backend services, and infrastructure metrics for effective troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with L1/L2/L3 support, development, QA, and DevOps teams to resolve complex technical problems.

• Participate and contribute to ITIL-based processes including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

• Lead and verify application deployments, ensuring rollback and recovery procedures are in place and tested.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation for known issues, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge base articles.

• Develop and refine monitoring and alerting strategies to proactively address potential issues.

• Support compliance initiatives, audits, and controls relevant to application stability, access, and change management.

• Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours incident support as required.
