Senior Payroll Executive

The Senior Payroll Executive will play a crucial role in our Business Operations department. They will be responsible for overseeing the entire payroll process, from data collection and input to final payment distribution. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and manage a large team.
  • Manage and oversee the payroll process for over 700 associates, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
  • Maintain and update employee records, including personal and financial information, in a secure and confidential manner.
  • Process and manage payroll-related inquiries and requests from employees, providing prompt and accurate responses.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll regulations, tax laws, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to gather and verify payroll data, including attendance records, overtime, and leave balances.
  • Generate and distribute payroll reports, providing insights and analysis to the management team.
  • Implement and maintain efficient payroll systems and processes, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Stay updated with changing payroll regulations and industry best practices, ensuring our processes remain compliant.
  • Provide training and support to junior payroll staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for payroll-related issues, resolving complex problems and escalating when necessary.
  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a payroll executive role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements in India.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to handle large volumes of data accurately.
  • Proficiency in using payroll software and MS Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide insights.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
  • A proactive and solution-oriented approach to problem-solving.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and processes as needed.
