Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Lead Instrumentation Designer, reporting directly to HOD – Instrumentation  to join our Piping team based in Mumbai.

 

Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and manage the responsibilities below. 

Diploma- Electronics/Instrumentation, with 15+ years’ experience. The Instrumentation Designer with E3D expertise is responsible for creating detailed instrumentation layouts and drawings within the AVEVA E3D environment to support complex engineering projects in the energy, oil & gas, or industrial sectors. This role involves translating process and control requirements into precise 3D models and drawings, ensuring seamless integration with plant design, and supporting project execution from design through construction.

- Develop and maintain detailed instrumentation models and drawings using AVEVA E3D software, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project standards.
- Interpret process flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), and control system specifications to produce 3D instrumentation layouts.
- Collaborate with process, piping, and electrical teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
- Select appropriate instruments, control devices, and associated components based on technical specifications and project requirements.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and project-specific standards within the E3D environment.
- Support procurement activities by preparing instrument data sheets and technical documentation within E3D.
- Review and verify 3D models and drawings for correctness, clash detection, and constructability.
- Assist during construction and commissioning by providing detailed 3D models and resolving design conflicts.
- Maintain accurate documentation, version control, and data management within the E3D database.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for instrumentation design processes and standards.
