Sr. Manager- Supplier Management

Job Purpose: The job role will be responsible for ensuring the process and best practices for Supplier Management. This position will interact with people within and out of the organization and will report to Lean Planning Analysis & Digital.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving and Executing Supplier Management Roadmap

  • Understand and internalize the supplier management vision as defined in the roadmap.
  • Strategically prioritize implementation milestones for effective execution
  • Strengthen the approved vendor list for top categories and ensure adherence across all categories.
  • Build structured data systems and analytical tools to support supplier management.

Demand Planning:

  • Drive quarterly demand planning across categories by consolidating inputs from end users and stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business priorities and operational requirements
  • Monitor forecast accuracy by tracking plan vs. actual performance at category levels, identifying deviations and underlying causes
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning accuracy by sharing variance insights with stakeholders and refining demand assumptions for subsequent planning cycles

Existing Supplier Management and Development

  • Finalize supplier performance templates and develop monthly scorecards.
  • Communicate performance results to suppliers and review action items from assessments.
    • Conduct supplier workshops focused on production process improvements and design collaboration.
  • Coordinate with suppliers on should-be costing across all categories.
  • Lead supplier rewards and recognition initiatives
  • Organize supplier meets and contribute insights on supplier performance.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to integrate scorecard findings.
  • Review previous assessment actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Work with the analytics team to apply insights from spend analysis.

New Supplier Development

  • Facilitate identification of new suppliers across key categories
  • Evaluate supplier qualifications and onboard selected vendors.
  • Support integration of new suppliers into company systems
  • Conduct workshops to identify cost reduction opportunities.

Other Responsibilities

  • Drive % business allocation to A-class suppliers identified through scorecards.
  • Lead cost reduction initiatives through supplier collaboration
  • Maintain an optimal and balanced supplier portfolio.

Key Performance Indicators

  • % business with A-class suppliers (based on scorecards)
  • Total cost of ownership reduction through supplier collaboration: 
    • Supplier workshops for conversion cost reduction 
    • Innovation and joint design initiatives
  • % compliance with monthly/quarterly supplier scorecard publication
  • % compliance with supplier meets and star rating rollout (target: 2 per year)

Knowledge:

Educational Qualifications & Certifications: 

•           BE/MBA

Relevant (Functional/Level) & Total Years of Experience: 

•           7-12 years

Skills:

Functional Skills: 

•           Functional expertise in Supplier Management & Procurement with cross functional exposure. Experience in working with Consultancy firm for Supplier Management is preferable. 

•           6 Sigma and Supply chain certification preferable

Behavioural Skills: 

•           Good Communication Skill 

•           Time management 

•           Quick and efficient in delivering KPIs. 

•           Change Management
