Job Purpose:
The incumbent is responsible for assisting in development and implementation of Security Risk framework for corporate functions in the Company. Additionally, the incumbent shall be process-owner of Third party due diligence - “Franchisees”. He/she would be responsible for managing TPDD process on all Franchisee applicants of Nayara Energy. It will also include review and assessment of TPDD policy and SOP of Nayara Energy and its subsidiaries. Facilitate effective decision-making and smooth & efficient convergence of information flowing in and out of the DH’s office. Support Head Security Risk and TPDD in developing presentations pertaining to the activities of the function for Board of Directors, Management Committee and SMT meetings.
Key Reponsibilities:
Process owner
- Own the TPDD operating model and policy/SOP lifecycle for Franchisees; propose revisions aligned to regulatory changes and Nayara risk appetite.
- Identify developing areas for TPDD and new approaches in conducting TPDD.
- Assess compliance framework over third party due diligence process established in the Company risks and develop recommendations for improvements.
- Conduct RFP process and undertake technical evaluations to identify and overcome various TPDD challenges (loan staff, TPDD vendors for reports, TPDD tools, etc.)
- Steward TPDD budget and vendor performance (KPIs/SLAs), including risk‑based cost/benefit decisions.
- Run portfolio analytics (heatmaps, outlier detection) to identify systemic risks and recommend control enhancements across TPDD function.
Conduct Third Party Due Diligence (TPDD)
- Conduct the Third-Party Due Diligence (TPDD) of all the Counterparties / Third parties (in accordance with TPDD Policy), specifically Franchisees:
- To ensure collection of all the Know Your Counterparty (KYC) / Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documents.
- To decide the depth of TPDD to be carried out and allocate requests to vendors accordingly.
- To discuss with the business on mitigation plan for parties which are assessed as high-risk entities.
- To recommend Third Parties / Counter parties for approval along with the risks associated with the third parties / counterparties.
- Own assurance outcomes: audit readiness, control testing coverage, and remediation closure within agreed timelines across TPDD function.
- Design and maintain a risk scoring model for TPDD (weights across sanctions, beneficial ownership, litigation, reputational signals); calibrate thresholds quarterly.
- Measure impact via KPIs: (i) % high‑risk parties with mitigations implemented; (ii) TAT compliance by risk tier; (iii) exceptions rate; (iv) cost per TPDD and vendor SLA adherence.
- Review alerts generated from continuous monitoring of third parties monthly and undertake risk mitigation steps against the new developments identified.
Documentation
- KYC / AML documentation pertaining to Counter parties
- Third Party Due Diligence Report
- Preparing TPDD MIS and control established SLA
- Approval of Third-Party Registration
- Exception Approvals.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with respective business representatives, Head of Departments and other relevant Function/Business Heads
- Engage with Master database management team for collection of documents.
- Liaise with Finance, Procurement, IST Back Office, Marketing, Legal and User Departments for TPDD related tasks.
Lead - Reporting and Presentation for Security Function
- Support in developing presentations / reports pertaining to the activities of Security function for Board of Directors, Management Committee and SMT meetings.
- Collect relevant information / data from internal and external stakeholders and prepare backup materials for presentations / reports.
Ad-hoc Projects / Assignments
- Carry out specific assignments allotted by Head Security Risk & TPDD or HoD time to time.
- Extend support to Head Security Risk & TPDD in day-to-day execution of operations.
Knowledge
Educational Qualifications & Certifications:
• Preferred Degrees - B.E./B.S.C./B. Com.
• Academic qualification related to AML/KYC
• Relevant Experience: 8-9 years
• Total Experience: 10-12 years
