How you will contribute

You will ensure that delivered services are optimized to meet business demands and the service operations strategy, plan, measure, report and communicate service improvement initiatives, and serve as a consultant on issues and resolutions. You will also recommend actions that can be taken to optimize investments and benefits and to mitigate risks. This role will require you to identify suppliers, evaluate them, on-board new vendors, establish and run vendor governance; collaborate with management and follow-up on requisitions, purchase orders, invoices; work with project resources to provide design collateral and to configure software components so they are aligned with security policy and governance; and ensure adherence to development and configuration standards and processes.

More about this role:

  • This role serves as the Systems & Project Lead, BUY Directs under the PLCS Tower (Procurement, Legal, CGA, Sustainability).

  • The position is accountable for project management, solution design, and end-to-end delivery of SAP and non-SAP system implementations, as well as transformation initiatives within the STP domain. A strong emphasis is placed on scalability, global adoption, and business process efficiency.

  • This is a people management role with ownership of the team responsible for STP delivery, applications, and processes.

  • The role includes accountability for operational excellence, continuous improvement and vendor management.

  •  In addition, the position requires ongoing external market awareness to identify emerging tools (AI), technologies, and best practices, translating them into tangible improvements across people, data, processes, and technology.

Key Capabilities and Experience

  • Deep techno-functional expertise in SAP ECC Source-to-Pay (STP) - (SAP S/4HANA – Sourcing & Procurement certification is an advantage)
  • Hands-on experience with procurement platforms and tools such as HICX, chatbots, and similar solutions
  • Strong understanding of system integrations and interfaces, particularly data flows between SAP and third-party applications.
  • Demonstrate focus on cost-effective innovation, leveraging emerging technology trends; sound knowledge of Gen AI, A2A, MCP & underlying AI tools & technologies that can be applied to existing applications to improve user experience
  • Proven experience supporting Mergers & Acquisitions, including impact assessment and integration of STP data, processes, and technologies into the enterprise landscape
  • Solid knowledge of project delivery methodologies (Tollgate Methodology preferred)
  • Strong business acumen and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technology-enabled solutions

Role-Specific Responsibilities

  • Operate in a global environment, understanding and evaluating country- and region-specific requirements, including legal, tax, and compliance considerations, while assessing their business relevance
  • Act as a key techno-functional contributor to multiple enterprise initiatives within the STP domain
  • Lead and deliver STP-related M&A initiatives in the Buy domain, managing key milestones, deliverables, and stakeholders
  • Own and manage relationships with external vendors supporting STP applications, driving productivity and innovation initiatives
  • Monitor and manage critical KPIs, ensuring performance and scalability of STP applications across a global footprint
  • Deliver STP programs and enhancements using DevOps practices and the Application Development Factory (ADF) model
  • Partner closely with business stakeholders and tower teams to understand requirements, independently design solutions, and translate them into detailed technical specifications
  • Ensure best-practice solution deployment in collaboration with Enterprise Architects, focusing on cost optimization, maintainability, and long-term sustainability
  • Provide project planning, effort estimation, and delivery oversight for pilot initiatives and large-scale transformation programs
  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing ADF team, driving capability development and delivery excellence
