Tax Accountant Senior (Hybrid)

Full time, Mumbai, India

 

This role is focused on tax reporting, consulting, and compliance for both direct and indirect taxation. The role will require your involvement in compliances for India as well as other BCD entities in the Asia-Pacific region

 

As a Tax Accountant Senior, you will

• Being an active part of our tax department, the Senior Tax Accountant manages multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for internal and external clients
• The role will primarily focus on indirect taxation and will gradually expand to accommodate direct taxation responsibilities as well as taxation law for other
• BCD entities in the Asia-Pacific region (Singapore, Australia, Hong Kong) and Europe, as per the dynamic requirements
• Optimize the tax position and identify tax opportunities
• Ensuring compliance with taxation regulations, monthly returns, payment of taxes, claim of input tax credit
• Provide SOPs, development, and advice on indirect taxes
• Work in close cooperation with other relevant stakeholders as necessary
   

About you

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with a minimum of 2-3 years of post-qualification experience
• Proven expertise in indirect taxation, including comprehensive knowledge of GST compliances
• Hands-on experience with tax litigation within multinational corporations (MNCs) / Big4s
• Basic understanding of corporate income-tax law is preferred
• Hands-on mentality, flexible to changes within an international environment
• Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to solve complex issues
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP (SAP)
• Experience with Avalara Tax software is a big plus
• Experience in the travel industry is a plus
