Job Title: Technical Operation Lead / Associate Director – IT Apps
Location: Mumbai, India (Hybrid/Onsite)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned Associate Director with over 13 years’ experience to manage daily Operations and lead/head to enhance the business-as-usual (BAU) operations of multiple Java-based enterprise entire divisional applications. This hands-on leadership role involves managing daily system operations, ensuring platform stability, overseeing deployments, optimizing database performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to address operational issues, deliver enhancements, and implement new feature requests.

The ideal candidate is technically strong in Java, Sql/No Sql databases,  AWS, and deployment practices, will be responsible for overseeing complex software projects, mentoring development teams, engaging stakeholders while also demonstrating mature leadership to manage application teams and coordinate with cross-functional departments.

Key Responsibilities:

BAU Application Management & Operations:
• Oversee day-to-day operations of multiple enterprise Java applications across business units.
• Ensure application availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring and issue resolution.
• Serve as escalation point for production incidents and coordinate timely resolution.
• Manage deployment schedules, code promotions, and patch cycles in collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.
• Review recurring incidents and implement root-cause fixes to eliminate them permanently.
• Monitor and manage project scope, risk, resources, and deliverables using Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Application Enhancement & Continuous Improvement:
• Engage with business teams to gather enhancement requests and translate them into actionable solutions.
• Identify and implement opportunities to automate repetitive tasks and streamline workflows.
• Work closely with developers to improve application performance and reduce technical debt.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration: 
• Act as a primary liaison between clients, business stakeholder and internal teams.
• Lead and mentor a team of application managers and support engineers.
• Coordinate with business stakeholders, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth operations and delivery.
• Drive alignment between business goals and operational execution.
• Manage and mentor a team of 30+ software engineers, fostering a collaborative, productive, and high-performance environment.

Governance & Reporting: 
• Maintain strong documentation for production support processes, SOPs, and deployment steps.
• Track and report on SLA compliance, incident metrics, and enhancement throughput.

Technical Skills:
• Languages & Frameworks: Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Java Script, Angular, API Integrations
• Databases: Oracle, Postgres, SQL Server (Query tuning, indexing, optimization, modelling)
• Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Jenkins, Git, SVN, CI/CD pipelines, Shell scripting
• Application Servers: Apache Tomcat
• OS: Linux

• A good understanding of technologies like Python, .NET, and React is a plus.
• Methodologies: Agile, ITIL (incident/change/problem mgmt.)

Preferred Experience:
• 13+ years in application support, operations, or technical project delivery roles.
• Proven ability to manage BAU operations for large-scale, Java-based applications.
• Strong hands-on skills in analyzing application logs, debugging, performance tuning, and deployment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working in BFSI, telecom, or other transaction-heavy domains is a plus.
